5Strands utilizes bioresonance technology that will identify temporary imbalances in the body that may be causing symptoms such as upset stomach, constant scratching, hair loss, hot spots, paw biting. These are non-life threatening responses and can take anywhere from several hours or several days to appear. Unlike an allergy, intolerances do not involve the immune system.
The Pet Food Intolerance Test covers proteins, grains, vegetables, fruits, fats, seafood, additives and preservatives. Of the 275+ items tested, the results will show only the items your pet registered an intolerance to. The intolerances are listed into 3 levels based on the response upon exposure. Utilizing the items that register a Level 3 response will create the recommended 6-8 week elimination guideline. Please try to not feed your pet any food items that were not tested for during the elimination period. You will not know how they will respond to these items. Level 2 items may be affecting their body and causing noticeable symptoms. Level 1 items are just beginning to affect their body on a cellular level. These Level 2 & Level 1 items should be consumed by your pet no more than 2-3 times per week.
Once you know what food items may be causing your pet’s discomforts or intolerance symptoms, you will be able to eliminate them from their diet and see if the symptoms lessen or disappear. After the 6-8 week period, you can then re-introduce an item one at a time in small quantities and see if the symptoms return.
The Pet Environmental Intolerance Test covers fabrics, cleaning supplies, grasses, trees, mold, dust mites, and other animal dander. Of the 105 items tested, the results will show only the items your pet registered an intolerance to. These intolerances are listed into 3 levels based on the response upon exposure. Animal Essentials’ Calcium is a natural calcified red seaweed (Lithothamnium sp.) that contains a wide variety of essential nutrients, including calcium, magnesium, boron and zinc. It is harvested from the seabed off the coast of Iceland, where each batch is cleaned, heat processed and tested for purity by an analytical laboratory. Calcium carbonate, the form of calcium found in Seaweed Calcium, is one of the most challenging essential minerals for the animal body to utilize For instance, the calcium carbonate contained in bone meal is only about 45% available to the body. However, because of the unique honeycomb-like porosity of the tiny particles that comprise Seaweed Calcium, the calcium carbonate it contains is up to 70% bioavailable.
Recommended Feeding: Add 1 teaspoon to each pound of home-prepared food or as directed by your veterinarian.
